I spent 3 wonderful days this October combining my love for off-road bikes with my love for sunny retreats.
Everything is taken care off by your wonderful host Joao, who can switch between tour host & trainer at the flick of a starter button. This was great for me as I wanted to hit the trails but also get a chance to see some of the island.
The tour is tailored to your abilities and requirements. I was happy to take things at a leisurely pace but if you wanted to scream around leaving a dust trail visible from space, then I can assure you Joao has the skills to craft such a dusty day out.
Joao did a good job of keeping the knobblies dirt side, and road work was thankfully kept to a minimum. There is plenty of challenging terrain in Maderia to keep you smiling and great conversation to be had when you want to hit the stop switch and explain how you ‚would have cleared that‘ if you were on your own bike…honest!!
Weirdly there never seems to be any level ground in Madeira as you always seem to be going either up or down!
I loved all 3 days and will definitely be returning for round 2 in 2021.

It was my first enduro experience ever. Great adventure you can not miss visiting Madeira. Lovely dirt tracks, trails, levadas, forests and steepy hills – all this is only begining. You can choose half day, full day or even a week trip to discover mysterious of the island. Joao leads you to the edge of your imagination and endurance.

I did a one day tour with João from Mountain Gadget and it was awesome!
João is very friendly and professional and the bikes are in perfect condition.
We drove various terrain and joão picked a very nice trail that suited my experience, it had exactly that what i was hoping for.
I had the feeling i was driving with my friends instead of driving with a guide.
Many nice conversations on the way when we stopped for something to drink or lunch.
If you love Enduro and you are on Madeira than i can highly recommend doing a tour with Mountain Gadget, João will give you all you want from beginner to expert.
With great knowledge of driving and the terrain on Madeira.
I will definitely coming back for another tour!

João nous a très bien accueilli, et à la première vue des motos, nous savions que la journée allait être mémorable (450 CRF-R, avec très peu d’heures au compteur). Après avoir fait les premières presentations, un rapide briefing, et s’être équipé, nous voilà parti.
Comme d’habitude sur cette île, les paysages sont magnifiques et variés. Le terrain de jeu est formidable et João en connaît les moindres recoins. On peut appeler ça du vrai Enduro, d’énormes montées, des marches, de la vitesse, de la technique… nous avons tout fait.
Pour finir cette journée, dernier stop pour le «Poncha » (alcool local).

Merci João, je recommande à tout les passionnés de moto, de passage à Madère d’essayer cette expérience inoubliable.
