Born in Madeira Island, Laura has been in touch with the islands’ nature since very young, and – like most people from the island – has developed a taste for the outdoors specially the hills and Country side of Madeira.
Having studied “Communication and Journalism” in OPorto’s University, Laura developed a special taste in photography influenced by the surroundings of this beautiful city. This of course became embedded in her, and she got back to Madeira with a new eye and new perspective. As a photojournalist, she started following the off-road and motocross races in Madeira, getting more and more involved in the scene, eventually getting together with João who was already racing at the time.
The passion for the two wheels sparked, and the idea of an off-road moto tours company started to grow. As Laura and João thought more and more about the potential of the Island to offer a unique experience for everybody that loves bikes, Mountain Gadget was born.
